- With the success of GT-R Festival, we are looking to hold a Nismo Festival in the future. However with track costs increasing this year by over 25%, wanting to bring an overseas guest and the inherit risk of a new event, we have decide to add a "Nismo Meet" to GT-R Festival. There is plenty of space at Sydney Dragway and plenty of track time on the drag strip and motorkahana. To test the waters for a Nismo Festival in the future, we will have areas and categories for all makes and model of performance Nissans. You can enter the show and shine or drag racing via our online store, and any one can do the motorkhana by paying on the day. You can take a friend, don't need a helmet and can buy a CAMS day license as well, making it easy accessible fun. We will have areas for: S-Chassis R-Chassis Z-Chassis Pulsar Sedans Ute and 4WDs SCHEDULE 0700 - Gates Open Traders - Competitor Gate. 0730 - Gates open to drag racing entries at competitor gate 0800 - Gates Open for Pre-Entered Display - Enter through spectator gate 0830 - Gates Open Pay on the Day Entrants - Enter through spectator gate 0900 - Gates Open Spectators 1000 - Motorkhana Track Opens for the day 1300 - Drag Racing commences - Grandstands 1300 - Pro Classes Session 1 1400 - Gates open for display cars to leave if they wish 1430 - Pro Classes Session 2 1600 - Pro Classes Session 3 1650 - Pro Classes Last Chance 1730 - Trophy presentation for Drag Racing DRAG RACING Drag racing competitors will park either in workshop allocated space in the pits, or, in display areas alongside display cars. Once racing starts an area will be allocated as pits for people to use. Each category will be allocated a staging lane and the track will operate as a test and tune. This means you will get plenty of track time. The winners or each category are determined simply by your best ET of the day. Please note that all drag racing is done under IHRA regulations and we have a maximum limit of 150 competitors. Entries are on a first come, first served basis. We will have an area for each model of GT-R to be displayed and there will be multiple show and shine categories with trophies awarded also. Car clubs who wish to park together can contact us for a club entry form so they can enter together. Anyone can enter. You simply pay an extra fee at the sign-on area to the driving arena. There are four 90-minute sessions with room for 15 cars in each. The cost is $60 per session and you can book as many as you like and simply sign on at the accreditation tent by the event start line. Being a Khanacross, a helmet is required for both driver and passenger and you must have a fire extinguisher bolted into the car. If you do not have these items we can assist you on the day. Your car must also pass a basic safety inspection. It is a non speed event and if you don't have a CAMS license you can buy one on the day for $25 when you sign on.. TRADE STANDS The GT-R Festival is a great place to showcase your GT-R rated products directly to your target audience. Trade stand spaces are competitively priced.
